WANTED: Junior Buyer

Based: Trafford Park, Manchester

Continental Textiles are seeking Junior buyer (experienced senior assistant buyer) to work with major store groups over several product categories for our brands South Beach, Loungeable & Finding Friday.

With ongoing expansion of the business this is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of our creative team. You will be working alongside a team of buyers in a fast-paced environment. At Junior Buyer level you will report into the Senior Buyer.

Own brand buying experience is required, preferably in fast-fashion.

The Role:

• Working across category alongside the team plus own category responsibility
• Responsible for managing and developing junior team members.
• Work along side design, garment tech and suppliers to deliver best product margin
• Negotiate cost prices and manage costing of your own ranges
• Work closely with our concessions team to manage the range selection and react to sales
• Contribute to weekly trade meetings with suggest how to react to department trading, evaluating upcoming ranges and opportunities.
• Liaise with the supply base in a clear and concise manner.

About You:

• 3+ years experience within a retail own brand buying role
• Preferably working in womenswear clothing, other categories will be considered
• Commercially aware and customer focused
• Confident using Microsoft Excel.
• Preferably experience of retail costing
• Comfortable working at fast pac
• Strong communication skills
• Able to build strong relationships and collaborate with the team.
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to generate ideas for product category growth
