Reception and Dispatch Assistant

Job Description
The candidate will primarily focus on picking, packing, and dispatching of eCommerce orders, with occasional front desk and reception duties This role requires strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and customer service abilities Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Order Fulfilment and Dispatch (Primary Focus): Pick orders from the stockroom and pack them into cartons according to company standards Apply waybills to outbound shipments and ensure accuracy in order details Schedule courier collections and hand over cartons to courier drivers Manage paperwork associated with shipping, including manifests and proofs of receipt Track and address courier-related issues (e.g., delays or lost packages), keeping customers informed where necessary Reception and Customer Service (Secondary Focus): Answer incoming calls, take messages, or direct calls as needed. Welcome and assist walk-in customers, and occasionally help with Point of Sale (POS) transactions in the factory shop. Provide relief to factory shop staff when required. General: Assist with stock management and maintain organised packing and dispatch areas Support inventory counting when necessary Qualifications: Minimum of Matric Prior experience in packing, logistics, or dispatch is an advantage. Requirements: Fluent in English & Afrikaans. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing orders. Ability to multitask between reception and dispatch duties. Basic math skills for handling inventory tasks. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
