Retail Construction Project Manager - Milwaukee

About Our Client

Our client is one of the most reputable General Contractors in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Their projects include retail, restaurant, and light commercial ranging from about $250K to $3M. Due to massive growth in their pipeline they are looking to being on a Project Manager to come in and take the reigns. This opportunity is compensated nicely on top of the chance of possible ownership a few years down the road.

Job Description

• Preforming Project Management tasks as well as some estimating.
• Developing a strong understanding of the entire scope of work.
• Manage all on-site production and coordinate all subcontractors.
• Facilitate a company safety program.
• Create look-ahead schedules for all activities on the job site. These schedules will be sent weekly to the Senior Project Manager.
• Create and maintain daily reports.
• Adhere to project schedule and review accordingly.
• Take and maintain project photos for each phase of work.
• Maintain quality control on site.
• Have regular communication with all of management, clients, vendors, consultants, subcontractors and architects.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Construction Management, Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Ground up experience.
• Commercial/retail construction experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills - looking for an outgoing individual who can speak to clients well.
• Knowledge of skilled trades.
• Knowledge in commercial construction technology.
• Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including both specifications and drawings.
• Experience with both change orders and hard-bid estimates.
