Job Description

Be a key part of the exciting launch of a new Black-owned spirits brand by leading the charge in securing off-premise accounts! We are looking for a driven and experienced sales professional to focus on expanding our presence in retail stores and other off-premise venues. Your primary responsibility will be to establish new accounts, ensuring strong shelf placement, product visibility, and securing ongoing orders.

In this role, you'll cultivate relationships with key retail partners and industry influencers, building long-term partnerships that drive brand growth. You'll also collaborate with distributors to ensure seamless execution of merchandising objectives, from promotions to product inventory management. Sales and Commercial Execution Identify and target on-premise and off-premise accounts, including bars, restaurants, country clubs, resorts, retail stores, and other establishments. Ensure brand visibility via shelf management positions, drink features and promotions.
Ensure that merchandising objectives are being executed in concert with the distributor field sales team.
Maintain key relationships through repeat purchase/sell-through
Identify accounts on a proactive basis to target
Capitalizes on local trends within designated markets to inspire future programming.

Relationship Building Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, on-premise accounts, retailers, and industry influencers. Collaborate with them to promote the brand and secure prominent placements and ongoing partnerships.
Maintain a working key account list and build key account relationships and within assigned territory

Training and Education Conduct comprehensive training sessions for staff at on-premise and off-premise accounts, ensuring they are knowledgeable about our products, brand story, and key selling points.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to help them effectively promote, focus on, and sell our products. Execute dynamic Point of Sale (POS) programs, orchestrating special events, sampling sessions, and educational initiatives to elevate brand awareness and foster consumer engagement.

Distributor Engagement Sets the example and motivates the local distributor network to execute commercial brand and channel priorities.
Foster and maintain a robust weekly schedule of account appointments, incorporating not only sales calls but also engaging distributor GSMs & work-withs to fortify partnerships.
Collaborate closely with local distributor managers and personnel, fostering a unified approach to align goals, objectives, and maintain impeccable product inventory standards.

Budget, Reporting Compliance Prepare regular reports on personal sales performance and KPI’s.
Manage budgets and maintain accurate records for seamless monthly reconciliation, demonstrating a commitment to fiscal responsibility.
Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state & company policies/law
Uphold unwavering compliance with all alcoholic beverage regulations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and guidelines.

Qualifications: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Must be 21 years or older.
1-3 years of demonstrated sales experience in the spirit’s sector.
Background in hospitality, sales, ideally beverage alcohol
Previous retail, on-premises, or off-premise work experience is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe; Working knowledge in CRM software platforms
Reside in the assigned territory with reliable transportation – preference for a large vehicle.
Possess a valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle with a clean driving record and background check.
Willingness to travel within the region.
Physical ability to lift and move cases of product frequently, coupled with comfort in various tasks such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and stooping for arranging and displaying point of sale.
Flexibility in availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
Available to work some evenings and weekends as required for events and promotions.
