The Lodges operates 12 residential care homes that offer 24 hour assisted living services. Each home accommodates 5 -14 residents comfortably. Our Maintenance Technician position is a key role for achieving our goals around ensuring our residents have a safe, comfortable, clean, and well maintained home that they receive the care they need in. Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • Physical ability to perform manual work.
  • Maintenance experience preferred.

Other Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

This position requires incumbent to have:
  • Knowledge of safe cleaning chemicals that are non-allergenic.
  • Ability to understand and relate well to adults.
  • Must be flexible and able to work within a diverse team.
  • Ability to drive, operate snow plow, snow blower, lawn mower and other equipment.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

Job Function: Perform building and grounds, safety/emergency protocols and preventative maintenance tasks.

Tasks:
  • Fix equipment and household items
  • Maintain follow-up on work order system
  • Manage and oversee contractors for projects for preventative maintenance (electrical, heating, flooring, plumbing, etc)
  • Maintain grounds with lawn mowing, snow plowing/blowing, gardening work
  • Ensure environments and building have quality appearance and in a safe manner
  • Perform miscellaneous repairs

Job Function: Perform other support functions and tasks.

Tasks:
  • Attend and participate in all staff meetings and keep information confidential as appropriate.
  • Maintain a team approach toward all staff and be a strong team member and leader as part of the maintenance staff.
  • Assist office staff with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
  • Perform and assist in other assignments as needed and directed by supervisor.
