Job Description

Ruuby, the leading premier on-demand beauty and wellness services platform, is looking for a Marketing Director. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving both D2C and B2B marketing strategies, ensuring we meet key acquisition and retention goals for our therapist and client communities. You will be responsible for leading a results-driven marketing team, implementing data-driven strategies, and optimising marketing efforts across channels. We’re looking for someone with deep expertise in performance marketing, strong analytical skills, and an in-depth understanding of the beauty, wellness, and marketplace industries.


Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Lead the development and execution of Ruuby’s marketing strategy across D2C and B2B channels.
  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives that align with company goals, ensuring a balanced approach between long-term brand building and short-term performance marketing.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure the success of marketing initiatives, optimising based on data insights and market trends.
  • Regularly present reports on campaign performance, ROI, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and other key metrics to the executive team.


Performance Marketing:

  • Own and optimise performance marketing channels (e.g., paid search, social media, display ads) to drive measurable growth in customer acquisition.
  • Implement and monitor A/B testing, audience targeting, and attribution modelling to continuously improve ROI.
  • Analyse campaign performance and adjust tactics based on insights.


Customer Acquisition & Retention:

  • Develop and execute customer acquisition campaigns to bring new clients and therapists to the platform.
  • Lead retention initiatives, ensuring that existing clients and therapists remain engaged, satisfied, and loyal to the Ruuby platform.
  • Oversee CRM and loyalty programs, email marketing strategies, and re-engagement efforts to increase customer lifetime value.


B2B Marketing:

  • Drive the marketing strategy for Ruuby’s B2B offerings, including partnerships with hotels, corporate wellness programs, and events.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns and materials for key B2B audiences, ensuring Ruuby’s value proposition is clear and compelling.


Brand Development:

  • Build and maintain Ruuby’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Lead creative direction for digital campaigns, social media, content marketing, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with PR and communications teams to drive thought leadership and brand visibility in the beauty and wellness sectors.


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a marketing leadership role, preferably within the beauty, wellness, or marketplace industries.
  • Proven track record of success in performance marketing, including experience with digital advertising, SEO, SEM, paid social, and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of D2C and B2B marketing strategies in marketplace businesses, with experience driving acquisition and retention efforts across both channels.
  • Highly analytical and numbers-driven, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is highly preferred.
  • Passion for beauty, wellness, and technology, with a desire to make an impact in a dynamic industry.
