Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager

Location: City of London

Reports to: London Head of Estimating

Contract: Permanent

Fawkes and Reece Group are currently assisting a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor with their search for an experienced Senior Estimator/ Estimating Manager to join their Central London-based team.

Our client is offering a salary of up to £120,000 per year with car/travel allowance and benefits.

Summary

• Support the Managing Director and Estimating Director by taking ownership of key team responsibilities and driving the development and implementation of strategic processes to support a cohesive approach to tendering activities with seamless integration into other business functions.
• Formulate and price tender opportunities by implementing estimating and cost planning strategies on a range of diverse projects across a range of clients, this will include both external and internal parties
• Lead & develop commercial tender strategies in conjunction with the pre-construction lead & wider bid team, ensuring all commercial deliverables are identified to ensure an accurate and compliant tender return
• Implement and Manage tendering of specialist sub-contract package works as necessary to support the tender bid, including identification of appropriate supply chain partners and comprehensive evaluation of returned quotations.
• In association with the bid team compile project preliminaries that are reflective of the programme, logistics, and commercial strategy.

Skills / experience required

• Extensive experience in Construction Management, 2-stage and negotiated tender opportunities across a wide range of sectors specifically Commercial, Residential, Hotels and Student Accommodation in the value range of £50m+£300m+.
• Have excellent working knowledge of pricing and quantification methods
• HNC/HNC/Degree related to construction and the built environment.
• A valid CSCS card

Our client deliver schemes across the Commercial, Residential, Education, Hotel, Retail and Leisure sectors, with project values range up to £150m, for blue chip clients.
