Interior Designer

Cunningham McLean are looking for a Middleweight interior designer to join our team.

Experience in the hospitality sector would be advantageous however not essential, new ideas and skills are always welcome.

The ideal candidate will have completed four or five projects, boasting both studio and on-site experience. Collaboration is essential. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and be well-versed in all the necessary competencies to effectively present their ideas.

We pride ourselves on being able to present tender and construction packages that meet our design aspirations, not over promising ideas that cannot be achieved and keeping tight control of budgets.

As a middleweight designer, you will engage in all phases from concept development to on-site completion. Initially assisting our senior designers, you will gradually take on responsibility for the development and delivery of your own projects, advancing from middleweight to senior interior designer.

A willingness to travel is essential as you would be involved in projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with our team to develop new concepts and ideas.

- Creating presentation materials, such as feasibility study plans, sketch-up models, rendered elevations, and plans.

- Conducting client presentations.

- Preparing tender packages, including detailed drawings and specifications.

- Developing FF&E packages and budget proposals.

- Producing construction drawing packages, specifications, and FF&E quotations.

• - Attending on-site meetings, discussions, and reviews with contractors.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

• The role is full-time, and teamwork is essential. You will be expected to be present in our studio for at least three working days each week.
