Consumer reviews have become a hugely important source of reassurance for consumers shopping online. When you are online searching for a hotel, a new TV, a new pair of trainers or a light bulb, chances are that you have read and been influenced by the consumer reviews that you have read of real customers sharing their real-world experiences and insights of a product.


DriverReviews was launched in 2021 and has quickly grown to become Europe’s largest verified tyre reviews platform, partnering with the largest online tyre retailers and tyre manufacturers to collect and syndicate more than 450,000+ tyre reviews from genuine, verified motorists. Our aim is to be the most globally recognised and trusted tyre reviews platform and we are currently seeking to appoint several new roles to support the business in this next phase of exciting growth plans.

The opportunity:

We're seeking a Junior Video Editor who is fresh in their career, who has passion and already delivering great content. DriverReviews is a growing business, and we are an ambitious team based in Edinburgh working with the latest and greatest vehicles across the automotive landscape – a dream job for an editor who has a passion for cars! With the help of our lead editor, you will be using footage captured by our videographer teams to create high quality edits across multiple formats. Our YouTube channel and community has been growing nicely and we now have over 1.5M+ views with close to 20k subs in just 5 months.


You will have a focus on building our social channels with attention grabbing shorts that support the YouTube channel subscriptions as well as promoting the main video content. Integrating the pivotal role tyres play in shaping the driving experience is key to all our content and we’re looking for someone with a desire to push the boundaries through creative editing. You must be a creative thinker, know what good looks like and you must understand the importance of how to deliver unique and top quality moving images on brand and on time.


Key responsibilities:

  • A proven understanding of editing and the video production process from idea conception to publishing particularly for social media platforms
  • Know what it means to be social first and must have a track record of leveraging YouTube shorts, TikTok and Instagram reels with interesting edits
  • Ensuring all video content produced is appropriate for the audience, format, placement, and channel
  • Incorporate motion graphics into video projects to enhance the storytelling
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining high-quality standards


Key personal criteria:

  • Ideally 1-2 years within a creative agency or in-house at a leading brand. A strong and varied freelance/contract folio will also be considered
  • Experience creating content for social channels as well as long form a must
  • Rich folio showcasing great quality video editing, including examples of colour grading, sound design, motion graphics and of course social
  • Proficiency in the top editing platforms
  • Excellent time management for meeting tight deadlines across multiple projects
  • A creative thinker with a passion for storytelling through video


Nice to have but not essential:

An interest in the automotive industry is very advantageous


What we will offer:

  • Annual salary £26,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Pension provision - we pay 5% of your base salary as an employer's contribution
  • Up to 10% discretionary annual bonus based on company's performance
