Job Description
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for Catering & Events Assistants to join the Commercial Team following the reopening of The Garden Café at Anne Hathaways Cottage. These are part-time fixed term contracts for six months from September 2024 to February 2025.
There are two types of contracts available, working 18 or 10 hours per week, between Monday and Sunday, you will need to be available to work a mixture of weekdays and alternative weekends.
You will be responsible for the preparation and service of food and drink for internal and external customers and events. All aspects of catering duties will be involved, ensuring all opportunities are taken to maximise sales.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working in a busy cafe or restaurant, you will be motivated to deliver excellent customer service. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with other staff in a professional manner as well as able to work on your own initiative. You will need to be flexible and willing to work at peak times including weekends and evenings.
