Job Description

Restaurant ManagerPOSITION PURPOSE
Within Brand Standards, effectively manage the day to day running of the AA 2 rosette restaurant, 1906 & In room Dining. Responsible for the financial success of the outlets & for ensuring all KPIs are attained. Lead the team to continued success and grow the team through recruitment, training & mentoring. The Restaurant Manager will set high standards by leading the team by example. Day to day running of the department tasks include but is not limited to rostering, labour forecasting, revenue management, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, inventory, and supply management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for smooth running, planning, managing and directing all food and beverage service functions in the 1906 Restaurant and In-Room Dining (IRD)
  • Have overall responsibility for ensuring the Assistant Managers and Senior Waiters effectively plan and run the daily operations within the outlets
  • Assist guests to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded by responding appropriately to guest needs during hours of operation
  • Responsible for ensuring supervision, training, and development [including evaluations] of all Restaurant Duty Managers, Restaurant Station Managers, Senior Waitpersons, and Waitpersons assigned and scheduled to the 1906 Restaurant and IRD outlets
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to guest complaints and feedback regarding the 1906 Restaurant and IRD. This includes the acknowledgement and appreciation of positive guests.
  • To establish a sound professional relationship with the 1906 Sous Chef which creates an atmosphere that promotes success and a comfortable working environment for both front and back of house personnel.
  • Direct management of the Sommelier to ensure that all wine lists are correctly updated with current prices and that upselling targets are agreed upon to maximise revenue.
Candidate Specifications
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
  • Excellent grooming standards, offering the correct example to ambassadors
  • Previous experience in a Luxury 5* Resort or Hotel as Restaurant Manager is essential
  • Knowledge of all F&B standards; quality of presentation, service, and products
  • Knowledge of local Food Hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Ability to prepare and analyse data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by the computer.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
