Reporting to the Head of Project Practice you will be responsible for a team of project managers, ensuring quality of service leading to successful implementations and excellent customer outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Well organised and methodical with high attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Proven experience managing HR / Payroll Systems projects
  • Provide line management, mentoring and support to Project Managers, e.g. by reviewing projects, audit reports and conducting individual evaluations to ensure effectiveness, quality and adherence to project management standards.
  • Proactively ensure that the team’s utilization is high and the performance of the team achieves the KPIs set out by the Head of Project Management, as directed.
  • Support pre-sales activity by providing guidance and assistance when designing commercial contracts for Professional Services delivery.
  • Temporarily cover Project Management Responsibilities for absent Project Managers or during periods of high project demand, including management of risks, issues, budgets, changes, communications and all other project management activities as required through the project lifecycle in accordance with MHR’s project methodology
  • Ensure that project governance and implementation standards are fully embedded and adhered to throughout the portfolio
  • Support the management team to ensure revenue targets are met as per the business plan.
  • Regularly review project status with Project Managers to ensure early identification of potential customer complaints or escalations
  • Champion and promote an understanding of the Project Management Methodology throughout the business
  • Support other business areas as required
  • Work in conjunction with the PMO to effectively manage the asset base of the portfolio of projects
  • Work in collaboration with Project Managers and Sales teams to identify and realise additional commercial opportunities and ensure optimization of resource deployment
