Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Operative. This is a great opportunity to get experience in our team with future opportunities a distinct possibility. You will be part of our Parks Team based predominantly in Ilfracombe but also working across the North Devon District. As part of your job, you will be expected to carry out a host of duties including grass cutting, shrub maintenance, spraying and litter picking.

Flexible working will be required to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and Bank Holiday working.

You are the right candidate for us if you have:

A positive can-do attitude and ability to work well as part of a close-knit team

Previous experience of grounds maintenance work in a similar environment

Competent in the use of powered mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters

Be in good health and able to partake in strenuous daily work

Be able to communicate positively with colleagues and members of the public
