Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the departments. Manage the selection, training and development of employees with an eye toward maximum employee satisfaction, productivity and guest satisfaction.
Conduct regular inspections of the resort's bedrooms and public areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards. Manage operating expenses to maximize costs while providing excellent guest services.
Ensure the team delivers consistently in accordance with the Forbes Standards
Work to improve the productivity and efficiency of the housekeeping department
Deliver and exceed financial targets
Coordinate departments activities with other departments to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction. Bear ultimate responsibility for monitoring consumption and ordering replacement of guest and cleaning supplies.
Inventory checks: Overseeing inventory checks on Linen, uniforms and amenities.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities is required.
Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision.
Previous Housekeeping Management Experience within a luxury property is required.
