The Mermaid is a medium sized pub located on the busy high street of Guisborough. This great pub is served by one large bar, found in the main area, with plenty of TVs as well as gaming machines and a range of comfortable seating. This room leads into a medium-sized pool & darts room perfect for local teams or regulars to enjoy a casual game. To the rear is a good-sized beer garden which has been recently refurbished to include, an outside TV and plenty of tables, making it the perfect sun trap for the summer.

The pub prides itself on being sports-focused and is the place to be for horse racing and football, often drawing in big local crowds. It has pool & darts teams which bolster mid-week trade. The ideal operator for The Mermaid is someone who knows the Guisborough & Redcar area like the back of their hand. They would be a real community local and would cherish the locals of the Mermaid always nurturing those relationships and being the real face of this business. They would have a friendly nature to them and would create an environment throughout the pub that makes you want to stay there all day. They would love sports and would get a real thrill out of putting on live events, whether that be unforgettable sports viewing, or live music on the weekends. Most importantly they would be dynamic and would always have their finger on the pulse when it comes to delivering events and reasons to visit. Finally, someone who takes immense pride in their pub, and is all over their standards when it comes to pub cleanliness and compliance.
