Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces to apply paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.
* Apply to repair, replace, and spackle/sand sheetrock as needed.
* Apply Wall Covering i.e wall paper
* Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
* Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
* Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
* Skillfully apply caulking and grouting as needed.
* Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
* Maintain work areas neat, organized and safe
* Effectively operate resort operations devices & software (HotSOS).
* Follow company procedures and policies.
* Performs other related job related duties as assigned.
* Provide effective repairs and first-time resolution of all guestrooms.
* Resolve customer issues within given guidelines and to customer satisfaction.
* Protect the guestroom floors, counters, and appliances while working.
* Follow safety guidelines/practices
* Recognize and identify potential hazards in the property.
* Communicate and interpret department needs as it relates to job role by positively interacting towards resolutions.
* Be able to work independently and with minimal to no supervision or support.
* Able to work in a cohesive environment with all department
* Hourly pay range: $30.59 - $40.79
Qualifications
* Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
