Health Network is recruiting a third General Hematology-Oncology physician for its growing, free-standing community cancer center in Lumberton, NC . Interest in teaching and/or involvement in community-based clinical research is a plus. Call responsibilities are consultative only with no rounding responsibilities. Our ambitions are to define new models for delivering the highest quality patient-centered care, accelerating translatable research discoveries, and developing innovative educational paradigms to drive improved community health. Facility: Clinicians at the Cancer Center provide specialty services in hematology and medical oncology. Cancer Center has had Top Academic Affiliated physicians delivering world-class cancer care in its community for many years translating clinical research findings into the most advanced therapies for their patients. Cancer Center has two full-time Hematologists/Oncologists, additional Duke Cancer Network Oncologists currently building up the new hire s patient base, one full-time Radiation Oncologist, Pharmacist, social worker, and dedicated research nurse.
