Job Description

Purpose:

As the Contracts Manager at National Car Parks (NCP) based at Gatwick Airport, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of contracts, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of proactivity and innovation within the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Managed Services, you will serve as the core point of contact for contracts, taking ownership of their management, budgeting, reporting, and strategic direction.

What You'll be doing as a Contracts Manager:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between NCP and its client GAL, ensuring clear communication, understanding, and satisfaction with contractual agreements.
  • Address client enquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally, maintaining strong relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Take full responsibility for the oversight and management of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, deadlines, and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for contract optimization, renegotiation, or expansion to enhance value for both NCP and GAL.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to contracted services, optimizing resource allocation to maximize profitability and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular financial analyses to track budget performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on contract performance, financial metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, informing strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine business strategies aligned with NCP's and GALs goals and objectives.
  • Identify market trends, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic planning and positioning.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and management of valet parking operations as a strategic initiative to enhance customer experience and revenue generation.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of valet staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to assess operational performance, customer behaviour, and market trends, driving informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to extract actionable insights and identify areas for operational optimization.
  • Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) with clients, defining clear expectations, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor SLA compliance, identify potential risks or deviations, and implement corrective measures to ensure contractual obligations are met.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and address operational challenges, inefficiencies, and customer pain points.

  • Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within the organization, driving positive change and adaptation.
  • Other duties and tasks in line with the work level of this post may be amended from time to time within the scope and general level of responsibility attached to this role.

  • Proven experience in contract management, budgeting, and strategic planning within the parking, travel or hospitality industry.
