We're a well-established corporate events company based in Thame, currently in search of a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager within the hospitality industry to join our senior management team, based in our offices.

The company has enjoyed an extremely successful 28 years, with a very special and loyal client base of blue chip names. Throughout the 28 years in business we have enjoyed an exceptionally high level of repeat business, looked after by our superb team of 9 employees, but we are keen to focus on an even higher level of account management to keep ahead of our competitors, as well as some growth not only within the existing client base, but exploring new opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with prospective clients.

Cultivate growth and retention within existing accounts.

Collaborate with the events team while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously, effectively managing your time, especially during peak periods.

Introduce innovative sales initiatives and strategies to enhance our team's performance.

Generate monthly sales reports based on proactive sales efforts.

Demonstrate strategic thinking, leadership skills, and exceptional communication abilities, with a proven track record of successful sales conversion within the events industry.

Experience within the corporate events sector is essential as the role may also include support in planning and event management as required, therefore, the ideal candidate will have some experience of event planning in their past.

Experience:

Previous experience in sales and marketing or account management within the events industry.

Team leadership.

Exceptional communication skills.

Motivated to go the extra mile for clients and colleagues.

A keen eye for detail.

Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Event planning and management (preferred but not essential)
