Salary: £34,905 - £37,173 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Full time

Contract Type: Open Ended (permanent)

Location: Daresbury Laboratory, Warrington, Cheshire WA4 4AD

To support the mobilisation of an improved service delivery model, the Estates Services team have a new opportunity for an Estates Building Services Supervisor to support the vision and mission of the STFC.

This is a key service lead role at the Daresbury Laboratory, supporting the Estates Building Services Manager in the provision of efficient, effective, and customer-focused planned preventative, compliance-based, statutory maintenance and asset replacement activities across the STFC estate. The post holder will provide supervision of third-party specialist contractors, the Internal Maintenance team or directly undertakes maintenance inspection tasks to safeguard the provision of resilient, safe and compliant building services across the STFC estate.

The post-holder will need to be confident supervising internal teams and contracted service providers in the delivery of mechanical, electrical, and building fabric maintenance services with equal composure and efficiency.

This is a fast-paced, varied, demanding, and interesting role, in which a productivity-focused, highly organised and enthusiastic but methodical professional will thrive.

Essential Shortlisting Criteria:

You will have a level of education equivalent to HND/NVQ Level 5, in Facilities Management or another relevant discipline, or senior supervisory/managerial experience in a facilities management role. Along with:

  • Level of education equivalent to NVQ Level 4/BTEC First Certificate/Diploma, or NVQ 3 and extensive operational experience in a relevant trade (Mechanical or Electrical discipline).
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
