Band 2 - Cook

Manpower is recruiting a Cook to work for our public sector client the NHS

Location: Merthyr

Job type: Temporary, ongoing

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Rota: 20 hours over 5 days, working weekends and Bank Holidays. Shifts are between: 7:00am - 6:00pm

Hourly rate: Weekdays £11.45 | Saturdays £16.14 | Sundays & Bank Holidays £20.95

Main duties & responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking meals according to dietary requirements and menu plans.
• Ensuring the kitchen and work areas are clean and hygienic, following strict health & safety protocols.
• Always Adhering to food hygiene standards.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in cooking, preferably in a public sector or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of food hygiene practices and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable, but training can be provided).
