The Glasgow Marriott is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Conference & Banqueting Associate / Event Service Expert to join our wonderful team. What you'll do.
- Ensure full product knowledge of all menu items and their service.
- Confidently serve drinks form our Banquet Bar during dinner functions.
- Always maintain an elevated service standard within Conference and Banqueting department.
- Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order brief.
- Set rooms for the events - preparing tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dining tables, coffee bars, full bar, etc.
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Respond to and fulfil any special banquet event arrangement and ensure buffet items are consistent and refreshed.
- During dinner function, the Conference & Banqueting Associate will assist in our banqueting bar and with drinks service.
- Facilitate banqueting clients and manage every reasonable request to provide wonderful customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.

Who we are looking for.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be a relationship builder, adaptable and has exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills.

- The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time across a work shift. Taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance)
- Previous experience in a similar hospitality setting preferred.
