Job Description

The Cluster Sales Managerwill drive sales performance within our hotel portfolio, focusing on all revenue generating segments such as corporates, leisure, groups, etc., as directed by the Operations Director.

This proactive sales role is responsible for driving sales across multiple hotels of the company. This role involves strategic planning, relationship management, and sales execution to maximise revenue from corporate clients and business groups and leading a productive sales team across multiple properties.

Nine Hospitality UK owns & operates a portfolio of IHG, Accor, Best Western, and a serviced apartment site. This is the perfect role for someone looking after one large property with the aspiration to develop through a cluster/national role. The role will be based at our Head office in Watford and requires visiting properties.

Your role in detail:

Develop an in-depth understanding of your hotels' local markets based on intelligence and knowledge of competitor activity and rates resulting in increased revenue generation through focused sales activities for Local and National Accounts.

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing corporate clients and agents.
  • Identify potential new clients and establish connections.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Create sales plans and forecasts for multiple properties within the cluster.
  • Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with sales teams across different properties to ensure unified efforts.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, discuss strategies, and set goals.
  • Provide training and mentoring to sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Generate regular sales reports to track performance against targets.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Produce accurate and timely, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting that meets the needs of the Head of Sales.
  • Complete and execute hotel sales plan, review, and update in line with the strategy and hotel business needs.
  • Involvement in RFP both local and national ensuring all stakeholders are consulted during negotiations.
  • Managing a portfolio of local accounts and maintaining relationships with Key Account Managers.
  • Using data and market research conduct telesales and campaigns to identify opportunities for hotels.
  • Support the conversion of key business and leisure groups.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of target accounts.
  • Attend any Hotel/brand Team Meetings, Sales Meetings, Sales Blitz and organising FAM trips as required
  • Ad hoc reporting as necessary, including data for Head Office.
  • To assist where necessary and as per senior managements advice.

What we need from you:

To succeed in this role, youll need to be a proactive self-starter who can proactively drive business, maintain or grow market share from existing accounts and deliver any potential new business.

You must have a hotel sales manager experience.

There will be a significant reliance on the individual to understand and analyse market data to identify opportunities for new business wins.

In addition, the role requires:

  • Experience in managing a portfolio of local Corporate Companies and hunting for new business.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Previous experience as a Hotel Sales Manager achieved within a UK market, with a good understanding of hotel business mix needs of transient and corporate business.
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills, and negotiation skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) are essential.
  • Experience in several reservations Systems (Cvent etc) and PMS would be highly desirable.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, flexible, and resilient.
  • The ability to represent the hotels, brands, and wider group compellingly to influence new business acquisition.
  • Checking client satisfaction and resolving any issues to ensure repeat business.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Regular office hours with occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate client meetings and events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000 per year
