Salary: £27,500 basic plus overtime available
Location: Lingfield, Surrey
Employment Type: Full-time, 52 weeks per year
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team in a specialist education setting in Lingfield, Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food catering services, particularly within an educational environment. You will play a vital role in supporting the Chef Manager and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals to the highest standards.
• Support the Chef Manager with menu planning, ensuring meals are nutritious, balanced, and within budget.
• Stay up to date with current food trends and incorporate them into menu offerings.
• Ensure all dishes meet health and safety standards, with a focus on allergen awareness and food safety.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in an educational catering setting.
• Strong knowledge of current food trends.
• Passionate about food and committed to delivering excellent service.
• Comprehensive understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Allergen awareness and ability to cater to specific dietary requirements.
• Experience in budget management within a catering environment.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
