Set in the village of Stepps, the Garfield House Hotels food concept is to deliver predominately Scottish cuisine using good quality, fresh ingredients. The hotel has a Bar and Grill concept that has seating for 70, which runs alongside banqueting for 180 plus two private dining rooms.
We are currently looking for a talented individual to join the team. You will have a passion and enthusiasm for food and are capable of delivering a high standard of food quality.
We are recruiting for the following full time kitchen position
Sous Chef
The ideal person is a passionate hardworking individual, who thrives under pressure and challenges and ideally has a hotel kitchen background. You will ensure in the head chefs absence the brigade continues to deliver the very best in both service and product and that the menus remain seasonal.
The Person:
You will be friendly and approachable; you will go the extra mile for our guests; you will lead by example. To be successful in the role you will :
- Ensure our guests experience and the food is presented to a high spec
- You'll be passionate about nurturing and developing the team
- Great organiser and who can prioritise your workload
- Previous experience at senior chef de partie is essential
- Available to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as per hotel requirement
