Campus Bursar

As the Campus Bursar, your duties and responsibilities could include the following: Reconcile fundraising accruals Review internal controls to avoid financial risk Responsibly approve spending by drawing up budgets Analyze monthly management accounts and investigate variances Drive and manage the annual opex and capex budget process at the institute Schedule monthly meetings with designated brand accountants Drive cost savings and efficiencies Aim to achieve 100% or more of the EBIT target Oversee the finance operations of the campus Send invoices and monthly statements to third party customers Promptly attend to queries Train staff on the procurement policies Weekly review of GSS payment schedules to confirm that all payments have been actioned Attend monthly debtors meetings Monitor inactive accounts to ensure proper process are followed Financial reporting and month-end closing Capex requisitions Skills & Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role Strong understanding of accounting systems Ability to function in a high-pressured environment Qualification: Completed SAIPA articles Relevant finance or Accounting degree Matric (Grade 12) Contact JENELLE COOKSON on 021 418 1750 , quoting the Ref: CTF019442 Connect with us on www.communicate.co.za and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
