Help us deliver a variety of recreation and fitness programs, offer family support, organize charity events and make sure our members access retail, travel and banking discounts and customized financial services. At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), we love what we do. And we live it too. THE ROLE Our services are tailored to help families with the challenges they may face due to military life and make the most of everyday activities such as going to the playground or day camp. We believe that when members of the Canadian Armed Forces are able to take good care of themselves and their families, they can do better both at home and at work. Whether families need to sign the kids up for swimming lessons, improve their fitness, make friends in a new community, our services are here to help. As you will be offering day camp programs and events for families, your task group will be diverse. Each day will be different as you oversee, coordinate and manage the details of the camp and event programs. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and share your passions by mentoring junior staff and volunteers, with the goal of improving the quality of life for our military. We are looking for energetic, independent and motivated individuals who want to join our team to help make recreation more fun QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or Community Development or a related field, AND some years of experience in recreation administration, or a related field Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification Certification in one recreation program area HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport HIGH FIVE QUEST 2 HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children Experience In planning, organizing and evaluating the operations and delivery of recreation facilities, programs, services, and events. In program development and instruction In supervising personnel and the work of volunteers In budget administration Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership. PSP: Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
