We have an excellent opportunity for you to join our Consumer Care team as a Global Marketing Lead Sustainability for our Consumer Care business based at our head offices, Cowick Hall, in East Yorkshire. You will identify opportunities and unmet market needs in the field of sustainability to then deliver projects and programs effectively within the Consumer Care business, as defined by the business sustainability plan.

You will coordinate, influence and work with cross functional project teams to drive developments within key strategic focus areas in sustainability and manage multiple projects in accordance with clearly agreed guidelines. You will also be responsible for evaluating customer needs, analysing current and evolving sustainability data/information and developing competitor insight to help maintain our industry leading position in the area of sustainability. You will be responsible for generating or gathering and analysing sustainability data on Consumer Care products and projects, using complex tools/data sets like Life Cycle Assessment. You will creatively devise ways of expressing the sustainability credentials of Croda products, describing their sustainability impacts in language that is clear and accessible for internal and external audiences. You will work closely with teams across functional areas to design and deliver compelling technical and promotional content for internal and external audiences. Essentials:

  • You have excellent planning and organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  • You will be a proactive problem solver, assessing the best options available.
  • You will be highly numerate and able to analyse and extract value from information / data.
  • You will be curious and creative, contributing new ideas and ways of working to the team.
  • You will be an effective communicator, capable of building effective working relationships and producing a high standard of written work.
  • You will be self-motivated and able to work independently and flexibly.
  • You will have a proven record of achieving objectives and targets within previous project management experience.
  • Educated to degree level ideally within sustainability/science subject area or marketing or have equivalent marketing/industry experience.

Desirables:

  • Previous experience working within a global work team, including having a remote manager.
  • Awareness and understanding of sustainability standards, ie. ISO Carbon and LCA reporting norms
  • Knowledge and experience in creating content compliant with legislation regarding sustainability claims
