A leading supplier of fresh and chilled food products, is looking for a Food Technologist for their site based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be working with various internal departments to safely onboard new and replacement products

Reporting to the Head of Technical, responsibilities for the role will include:

• Safety, Quality and Legal review of all new products / suppliers
• Maintaining appropriate and demonstrable product and supplier due diligence.
• Providing support to the technical team and the wider business by responding professionally to internal and external queries.
• Conducting food technical research

Essential / Desirable skills include:

• Knowledge of FIR 2014, Food Allergens and Food Microbiology
• Experience working in food technology with supplier approval experience
• Ideally previous experience in fish products
• High level of attention to detail
• A science-based degree graduate or equivalent
• Enjoys working as a part of a larger Technical team

The working hours for the role are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week). The salary is £35k per annum plus an excellent benefits package.
