Job Description

Our client, a PE backed international marketing services business, is now looking to recruit a new CFO who will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial activities whilst also working as a peer level strategic partner to the CEO and wider management team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a CFO with a strong understanding of PE dynamics, where there is a need to ensure that the key decision-makers have a comprehensive understanding of the financial implications and risks associated with various strategies, enabling them to make informed choices. The incoming CFO will be required to distil intricate financial information into easily understandable terms for various stakeholders, including executives, investors and employees and will be focussed on driving financial success and organisational growth.



Responsibilities


1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives and the requirements of private equity investors.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to support strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
  • Provide quick analysis to enable the exec team visibility on key metrics.
  • Be comfortable working quickly to provide answers to challenging questions.



2. Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Comfortable providing simple views of complex data/analysis.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to internal stakeholders, investors, and board members.



3. Investor Relations:

  • Serve as a key liaison between the organization and private equity investors, providing regular updates on financial performance, business plans, and investment opportunities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to investors, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the investor relations team to support fundraising efforts and capital structure optimization.



4. Strategic Business Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and initiatives, providing financial expertise and insights.
  • Conduct financial due diligence where opportunities arise.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks and identify opportunities for growth and profitability.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Proven track record as a CFO with experience in private equity-backed businesses.
  • Experience of delivering value to shareholders through successful exits – PE & Trade
  • Strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of financial principles, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience in strategic financial planning, capital allocation, and investment analysis.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing finance teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, improve processes, and implement financial best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team player



£140k - £160k + Benefits + Equity
