Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Drinks Industry Sales/Business Development Manager to join our team at our distillery. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the drink industry, including restaurants, bars, and retailers. Your primary focus will be on increasing sales of our craft range of premium spirits, building brand awareness, and expanding our customer base. Their will be additional opportunities to increase sales through our contract production offering as well as developing our sales strategy for future ranges of products.


This role will be responsible for our wholesaler interactions and will target London and the south-east primarily.

This role will be a hybrid of field sales, inside sales and account management. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take a step up in seniority and accountability. This role has clear progression as when our company grows, we would see the holder of this role taking up a leadership role of our sales team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the food and drink industry.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to increase revenue.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to promote our premium spirits.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity and customer feedback.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement promotional campaigns.


The Company:

Our distillery is a relatively new business that is passionate about creating high-quality, premium spirits. We are quickly growing and looking to expand even more over the coming years. We produce a range of craft premium spirits under our own brand and offer contract production, storage and fulfilment services to other brands also. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with our clients, we see this role being a key part of that committment.


We are located in Horsham in West Sussex, the role will have to attend our location occasionaly with most work being conducted remotely.


Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Must have own car.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in alcohol sales.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Initiative-taking and target driven.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
