The role

The Performance Creative Strategist sits in the growth marketing team who focus on the acquisition, retention and monetisation of customers. You will also work closely with the brand marketing team as a bridge between the two teams. While this role requires right-brain creative thinking and strong ideas, the role is suited to an analytical performance/growth marketer. Today’s competitive advantage across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube comes from creative velocity and developing a testing plan that drives first-mover creative advantage.


What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the creative strategy for our performance advertising across Meta, (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, native and online display. Defining the strategic problem for ads to solve.
  • Owning the roadmap to drive the velocity of creative testing. Use data-driven decision making for the prioritisation of tests and choosing the creative elements to test.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of creative by defining and evaluating the leading indicators of performance, alongside key metrics such as CAC, CPA, CPL and ROAS.
  • Run creative and messaging workshops with various teams. Use customer insights and competitor research to help ideate and develop the testing pipeline of performance ads.
  • Project manage the creative briefing process and ensure the timely delivery and implementation of assets.
  • Liaising with the brand team and/or external agencies in the creation of digital assets. While always aligning creative with brand guidelines and sign-off from the brand marketing team.
  • You’ll keep on top of the very latest social media trends to inform creative briefs and first-mover advantage tests. Stay updated with the latest features, best practices and algorithm changes on Meta, TikTok and other channels of focus.
  • Report into and work alongside the head of growth to continuously analyze performance, in order to optimise campaigns. Run monthly retrospectives to help crystallize the learnings and to inform the prioritisation of the test pipeline.
  • Report on creative performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvements. Share insights and learnings with the broader team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.


What you will bring

  • Proven track record of owning creative testing and managing performance KPIs across paid social and digital channels. Working knowledge of creative performance metrics and how they transfer to optimisations and decisions on creative changes.
  • A finger on the pulse of the very latest social media trends.
  • Right-brain creative thinker with strong ideas, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and analyze performance
  • Interest in learning about consumer behavioral psychology - creating ads specific to customer segments and at various stages of the buying funnel
  • Be execution focused with creativity velocity a key objective. While maintaining solid test methodologies and ensuring quality creative output
  • Good with words - being concise with copy headlines to short character limits
  • You want to be a key member of a growing company, and have a direct impact on our success and are comfortable with the ambiguity this entails
  • A visual eye for video framing and basic filming and editing skills for minor tweaks.
