Simon Gibson Transport is a nationwide bulk tanker haulage company, operating from a network of various depots across the UK. Established business founded in 2000, Part of GCA since 2015, it operates both domestically and abroad in the industrial sectors with owned assets and drivers and get the backing of the group in Europe.

The Transport Contract Manager, which is currently open, will represent Simon Gibson in the South East and will look after one of our major client and strategic contract for the distribution of cement products.

YOUR MISSION :

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in overseeing daily activities and ensuring smooth operations within our South East operation.

Role location : In person South East based

Key accountabilities:

• Regular site visits with our ready-mix customers & maintenance service providers in the London area.

• Daily face-to-face communication with our Drivers

• Helping enforce and upkeep a high level of Health and Safety compliance

• Organising efficient small repairs on tanks (mud wings, Lights… etc)

• Work with the head office team in Goole to ensure a smooth and effective operation

• Plan and prioritise sites visits and customer support

• Contribute to achieving agreed business targets within the team
• Managing personal time and productivity.
• Ensuring that key performance indicator information is provided on time.

• Accountable for the performance of the contracts:

1. Meeting agreed KPIs
2. Maintaining compliance
3. Guarantor of the customer’s satisfaction

PROFILE :

Preferably with a good knowledge and experience of the road transport industry in bulk tankers, It requires a highly professional and confident person to work with own initiatives.

Education: Bachelor's (preferred)

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role

• Knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management

• Excellent leadership, organisational skills and communication skills

• Strong analytical abilities with problem-solving aptitude

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Operation Management

• Strong leadership qualities, you are a team player and have ability to federate.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

• Technical knowledge of road tankers
